In Case Of Adverse Weather

Dear parents and carers,
As you will no doubt have seen, the weather forecast for the next few days shows that the current very cold temperatures will continue and there is likely to be snowfall.
We felt it important to send you a letter clarifying our procedures in the unlikely event that school is disrupted by wintry weather.
If we do experience significant snowfall, and it causes us to either close the school or make a change from the usual routines, we will always let you know as early as possible via:
- The School Website
- Via email and Text Messages
- Local Radio
As you know, our aim is always to open the school if at all possible, however in making decisions like this, we do always have to ask ourselves the following:
- Is the school site safe for everyone to access?
- Are there enough staff, including qualified first aiders, to ensure safe staff:pupil ratios
- Will we have dinners and heating?
- Are the school buses running?
