Displays at Wroughton
Having a child-friendly classroom not only looks great but also helps children learn and enjoy themselves, it is important not to underestimate the power of classroom displays.
Displays have the ability to create a rich environment that is both engaging and welcoming – displays can be bright and colourful or scientific and intriguing – done correctly they can really influence children’s learning.
Why classroom displays are important?
Classroom aesthetics: Classroom displays can play a huge role in the aesthetics of a room and therefore transform it into the ideal working environment for young children.
Tell your class who you are: Displays also work really well to allow children to understand what is expected of them – a bright, fun display board with key learning objectives highlighted then it is both fun and informative.
Learn through creativity: Display boards also give you the opportunity to teach a class through the art of creation. By decorating the boards a class will feel a great deal more involved in the overall project and remember the information taught them.
Create a sense of belonging: A sense of belonging is really important in any classroom, especially in primary school. If each student has at least one piece of their work on the wall then they will feel more at home in the classroom. This promotes a sense of pride and team spirit which is essential in any class.
