School Uniform

To encourage our pupils to have a shared identity and be a part of the school community, we require our pupils to wear school uniform. Our school colours are Royal Blue for sweatshirts and Grey/Black for trousers or skirts, and black shoes. We sell school sweatshirts, polo shirts and PE bags all embossed with the school name and logo at a very reasonable price.

At the end of each term we often find that we have a lot of lost property. We cannot return it to their owners if it is not named so we advise you to sew in name labels to items of school uniform as pen or biro labels wear off. There are Lost Property Bins in each cloakroom. Any good quality unmarked lost property not collected each term may be washed and sold by our eco council in the spirit of ‘recycle reuse’.

Please note:

No trainers for daytime wear – sensible shoes only. (Please no high heels or fashion items). Pupils may bring trainers or a change of shoes to wear at break or lunchtime.

Nail varnish is not to be worn (and will be removed by office staff)

No jewellery to be worn during PE lessons (stud earrings to be removed or covered with tape for Health and Safety purposes)

Stud earrings to be worn only (for Health and Safety purposes)

Long hair to be tied back (for Health and Safety purposes)

UGG boots or similar are not permitted

Winter uniform

Black or grey school trousers, skirt or pinafore dress. Jeggings/jean style trousers are not permitted.

White or pale blue shirt or polo shirt.

Royal blue school jumper or cardigan – preferably with Wroughton Federation logo.

White or black socks.

Black school shoes.

Summer uniform option

Black or grey school shorts

Royal blue school summer dress.

Open toed, unstable footwear is not appropriate or safe for school.

Trainers for children in Yr 3-6. Trainers or Daps for EYFS, Yr 1 and Yr 2

Plain black or navy tracksuit bottoms /leggings.

Navy or black sweatshirt/ hoodie (the school PE hoodie can be purchased online). It is essential that children do not wear school jumpers for PE as they may get wet or muddy.

Football boots/old trainers if playing on the field (you will be informed if this is the case – Year 6)

PE Kit: We are very proud of our PE provision and invest time and funding to ensure that children enjoy and value this aspect of school life. We issue frequent reminders about PE kit in school; however this remains an ongoing issue which wastes teacher and office staff time. Please, please, please make sure that your child has correct PE kit in school from Monday to Friday – we really want to crack this issue and appreciate your support.
